Twitter - Drupal Integration Lives Again!

I've written about Twitter before, okay quite along time ago. I'm still a big fan and find it among the best ways to learn about new things and stay on top of current developments on a wide variety of topics (and that doesn't include daily breakfast reports, at least not usually).

I had integrated Drupal with Twitter so there was some automatic blog integration, but it has been broken for the last year on Drupal 7 and, since I have been on Drupal 7, I haven't been able to integrate it until now. The module (http://drupal.org/project/twitter) looks to have stabilized and, apart from a dependency on OAuth (http://drupal.org/project/oauth), it was a fairly straightforward configuration.

The new features including integration with hashtags and @ replies. So check out the #drupal firehouse if you are new or experienced with Drupal, there is lots of great stuff there (as well as some trash). Be prepared to be overwhelmed with information, but its guaranteed you'll find some nuggets, though it probably will never replace good old http://drupal.org.
